The United States Postal Service will open a Village Post Office (VPO) at Quality Bank, 116 Morton Ave., in Page, ND.
Customers can purchase stamps and send Priority Mail Flat-Rate packages at the Quality Bank location. Hours of operation are Mon.-Fri. 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
The location is scheduled to open Feb. 2.
Village Post Offices are located in non-Postal Service establishments, such as an existing community business, town hall or government center.
The Postal Service introduced the Village Post Office concept in 2011 as a way to continue to provide convenient access to postal products and services in communities across the nation. VPOs are located in a variety of locations and are operated by the management of these locations.
By being located inside established businesses and other places consumers frequent, VPOs offer time-saving convenience and, in many locations, longer business hours.
The Quality Bank VPO is one of more than 800 locations nationwide and the third in North Dakota. Others are located in New Town and Keene.
The U.S. Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations
