TECUMSEH, NE — Barring any unexpected delays, the Tecumseh Post Office is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 29. All operations were moved to the Pawnee City Post Office following a ceiling collapse at the Tecumseh Post Office on Aug. 18. Rural mail service to the area continued.

All repairs are expected to be completed in time for the reopening. Retail hours will remain Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed for Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

“We look forward to serving our customers again from the newly renovated Post Office,” said Postmaster Joyce Scholl. “In a lot of ways it looks like a new Post Office with new lighting, ceiling, ductwork, and freshly waxed floors. I think customers are going to like it. We appreciate our customers’ patience while the repairs were made.”

All operations are expected to return to Tecumseh on Sept. 29, including the rural carrier operations.
