Background:

Vengren was named the Postmaster of New Boston in April of 2014. He oversees 8 employees and is responsible for 2,106 delivery points, 4 rural routes and 350 P.O. Boxes.

Vengren began his postal career 34 years ago as a machine operator in the Boston general mail processing facility. In 1982 he became a manager of postal operations and then the postmaster of East Templeton, MA in 1993.  In 1997, Vengren was promoted to postmaster of the Tyngsboro, MA Post Office and held this post for 17 years. From 2012-2014, Vengren also served as the President of the Massachusetts Chapter National Association of Postmasters of the United States.
