Sanbornville, NH — You know that a passport is needed for travel outside of the United States.  But did you know that soon you may need a passport for domestic travel as well due to the Homeland Security’s implementation of the Real ID Act?  Now is the time to plan that trip of your dreams. To make planning as easy as possible, the Sanbornville Post Office is hosting a Passport Day with extended hours on Saturday, February 13.

Just call (603) 522-8811 to make an appointment for Saturday between nine a.m. and three p.m., then come by the Post Office at 378 Meadow Street on Saturday at your assigned time. The Sanbornville Postmaster emphasizes that postal clerks can even take your passport photo if you do not have one.

Postmaster Deborah Osgood says “With routine passport processing times of four to six weeks, it’s never too early to start planning for that next trip. And we’re here to help.” The Postmaster cites USPS.com as an excellent resource for getting passport paperwork and locating other acceptance facilities across the nation.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
