Jersey City NJ Letter Carrier “Mark” Panuil personifies the old proverb: “honesty is the best policy.” Panuil found a wallet on the sidewalk on January 22 while delivering mail on his carrier route in Jersey City. The wallet contained $3,200. Panuil brought the wallet back to the Post Office and contacted the owner, a local clergyman. The minister came to the Bergen South Post Office the next day to claim the wallet, express his appreciation, and offer Panuil a reward. The Jersey City Letter carrier refused the reward indicating he was just doing his job. |
