Service at the Greenville Station Post Office at 137 Ocean Avenue in Jersey City has been temporarily suspended due to HVAC issues created by flooding in the basement of the facility.
Postal retail services have been transferred to the Bergen South Station Post Office at 369 Martin Luther King Drive.
Mail delivery to Jersey City street addresses remains unaffected. Greenville Station Post Office Box customers can pick-up their mail at the Bergen South Station. A photo ID is required.
The Greenville Station Post Office will reopen upon completion of the repairs and restoration of the HVAC system. No timeline has been established.
Retail business hours at the Bergen South Station Post Office are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. In addition to the Bergen South Station, postal officials are reminding local residents that they can save a trip to the Post Office by purchasing postage stamps at face value while shopping at retail outlets throughout Jersey City like Walgreens, Pathmark, Staples, A&P, CVS, and Duane Reade.
