The U.S. Postal Service will again join forces with the National Association of Letter Carriers, Feeding America and other partners to Stamp Out Hunger across America, beginning with a brief kick-off event.

The annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, which is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, provides assistance to the millions of Americans who are struggling to put food on their tables every day. Now in its 23rd year, the Stamp Out Hunger effort is the nation’s largest single-day food drive.

In 2014, drive organizers across the country collected more than 72 million pounds of total food donations.
