New Milford, NJ – Retail customer services have been temporarily suspended at the New Milford NJ Post Office at 1055 River Road after a private vehicle accidentally ran into the lobby. Customers still have access is to their Post Office Boxes and mail delivery to street addresses remains unaffected. No serious injuries were reported.
As alternatives, postal retail customer services are available at the nearby Bergenfield, Dumont, and Oradell Post Offices. Stamp booklets are also sold at face value as a convenience at the following New Milford businesses: Wells Fargo Bank at 810 River Road, Shoprite at 814 River Road, CVS at 364 River Road, and the CVS at 880 River Road.
No mail was damaged as a result of the accident and no timetable has been established for the resumption of retail services at the 6,930 sq. ft. leased postal facility.
