Morristown NJ– The United States Postal Service is seeking input on its plans to consider relocating retail services from the Morristown Post Office at One Morris Street to an alternate nearby location. The general public is invited to a community meeting on October 26 at 6 p.m. at the Morristown Senior Center, 200 South Street, 3rd Floor to learn more about the Postal Service’s plans.

Additionally, for 30 days after the public meeting, anyone may submit written comments to postal headquarters for consideration prior to a final decision:

Attn: David Rouse
475 L’Enfant Plaza SW, RM 6670
Washington, DC 20260-1862

There are no plans to close any of the Morristown Post Offices, including Convent Station.  The Postal Service is simply exploring the possibility of downsizing its footprint by putting the existing property at One Morris Street up for sale and relocating retail operations to a new location in the same neighborhood. Postal officials emphasize that meeting the needs of postal customers is, and will always be, a top priority.
