Northern NJ — If you get a notice of attempted delivery this holiday season, you can call for redelivery or take advantage of the expanded package pick-up on Sundays at select Post Offices in Northern New Jersey. In addition to the usual Monday to Saturday hours, customers can pick-up articles at seventeen Post Offices in Northern New Jersey on December 4, 11, and 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Postal Service, the largest e-commerce deliverer, is projecting about 750 million packages will be delivered this holiday season, a 12-percent increase in volume compared to last year.
While the Postal Service already delivers packages on Sunday in most major cities, following the success of past holiday seasons, it will expand Sunday delivery operations to all locations with high package volumes beginning November 27. More than five million packages are expected to be delivered each Sunday in December.
Customers can dress up their holiday shipments by ordering festive and free Holiday Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes online at USPS.com. Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes feature predetermined rates regardless of weight (domestic shipping) or destination. If it fits, it ships® anywhere in the country for a low flat rate. They include a Small Holiday Flat Rate Box 5-3/8" x 8-5/8" x 1-5/8", a Medium Holiday Flat Rate Box (top loading) 11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", a Medium Holiday Flat Rate Box (side loading) 11-7/8" x 3-3/8" x 13-5/8", and a Large Holiday Flat Rate Box 12" x 12" x 5-1/2".
