BACKGROUND:

Officials from the U.S. Postal Service will host a renaming ceremony for the Deptford Post Office. The Deptford Post Office will be renamed in honor of U. S. Army First Lieutenant Salvatore S. Corma II who was killed in action on April 29, 2010 in Afghanistan.

The bill, sponsored by Congressman Donald Norcross (NJ 1), signed into law by the president on June 13, 2016, will officially dedicate the postal facility located at 1265 Hurffville Rd. as the First Lieutenant Salvatore S. Corma II Post Office Building.

A special ceremony including elected and postal officials and friends will be held Monday, October 17 at 11 a.m. to unveil the official plaque to be displayed at the Deptford Post Office.
