CHATHAM, NJ — Postmaster Sonya Gilbert is inviting the public to the Chatham Post Office Open House on Wednesday, August 15 at 19 South Passaic Avenue.  From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Postmaster Gilbert and senior officials from the Postal Service’s Northern New Jersey District will be on hand talking to customers, giving a behind the scenes look at postal operations, distributing free Priority Mail shipping supplies, sharing valuable mailing and shipping tips, and soliciting community feedback.  Light refreshments will be served.   

Have a comment, question, or compliment and can’t make it to the Chatham Post Office Open House on August 15?  Postmaster Gilbert recommends: 

• Calling the Chatham Post Office at 973-635-8400; 
• Calling the Northern New Jersey District Consumer & Industry Contact Office at 732-819-3260; 
• Calling the Postal Service’s Customer Care Center at 1-800-ASK-USPS, that’s 1-800-275-8777;
• Sending an email by visiting the Postal Service’s USPS.com website, clicking  on “Contact Us” at the bottom of the homepage, and following the prompts;
• Voicing your opinion about a Post Office retail experience by participating in the Point Of Sale (POS) survey by following the directions on their retail sales receipt. 

Whether sharing comments in person at the August 15 Chatham Post Office Open House, by phone, by email, or by completing a retail POS survey; Postmaster Gilbert assures the entire community that their feedback will be carefully documented and appropriate action taken to strengthen service.
