CHANGEWATER, NJ — Postal officials must relocate Post Office operations from the current Changewater Post Office location at 11 Main Street due to a loss of lease. The property owner is not renewing the lease agreement with the Postal Service, which expires in December.

Effective close of business Friday, October 5, 2018, all Changewater Post Office operations will be relocated to the Washington Post Office at 36 Belvidere Ave.  Beginning Saturday, October 6, Changewater Post Office Box holders can pick-up their mail at the Washington Post Office.

Business hours at the Washington Post Office are:

P.O. Box Lobby Hours:            7:30am – 5:00pm  Monday – Friday
7:45am – 2:00pm  Saturday
Retail Window Services:           8:00am – 4:30pm   Monday – Friday
8:00am – 12:00pm Saturday 

Postal officials are actively seeking an alternative location for the Changewater Post Office and will schedule a community meeting at a later time to discuss plans to identify the new location. In the interim, Northern New Jersey District postal officials are reassuring residents that they will continue to receive the same high level of customer service at the Washington Post Office that they have grown accustomed to receiving in Changewater.
