Background:
Officials from the U.S. Postal Service will host a renaming ceremony for the Mullica Hill Post Office building. The Mullica Hill Post Office building will be renamed in honor of Second Lieutenant James C. ‘Billy’ Johnson who was killed in action on October 22, 1944, in Italy.
The bill, sponsored by Congressman Frank LoBiondo (NJ-2), signed into law by the President on March 23, 2018, will officially dedicate the postal facility located at 123 Bridgeton Pike as the 2nd Lieutenant James C. ‘Billy” Johnson Post Office Building.
A special ceremony including elected and postal officials, family and friends will be held Thursday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. to unveil the official plaque to be displayed at the Mullica Hill Post Office.
