To make shipping holiday cards and presents a bit easier this year, 16 Albuquerque area Post Office locations will offer special weekend retail hours – including four locations that will be open the next two Sundays, Dec. 11 & Dec. 18, Postal Service officials announced today.
“We’re opening on the next two weekends to make holiday shipping more convenient for our customers this holiday season,” said Albuquerque Postmaster Reece Steelman. “We strongly encourage our customers to take advantage of these special hours and get their cards, letters and gifts in the mail these next two weekends to avoid the rush that will come on the busiest mailing day of the year, Monday, Dec. 19.”
The following 16 Post Office locations will offer special Saturday holiday retail hours. In addition, the four locations shown in bold text below will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11 & 18:

Postal Service employees are available at all these locations to help customers ensure their holiday packages are packed, tracked and delivered with ease.
In addition to holiday Forever Stamps, Post Offices offer Priority Mail supplies and other packing items to provide customers with added convenience. These include bubble mailers, shipping boxes, bubble wrap and packaging tape. Also available are a selection of greeting cards and gift cards, making your Post Office a one-stop shop for holiday gift giving. Many locations also feature Self Service Kiosks where customers can purchase stamps or ship packages using their credit or debit card.
A reminder that stamps and packaging supplies are available via your computer 24/7 at www.usps.com – where customers can also use their credit or debit card to purchase mailing labels for packages and then arrange for free carrier pickup of those items the next business day.
The U.S. Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.# # #
