LAS VEGAS — While it’s unlikely Southern Nevada will experience a white Christmas; the Postal Service has seen a flurry of holiday parcels. Expecting a record 850 million packages, an increase of more than 10 percent over last year, USPS has expanded both delivery and retail services at many Post Offices – including many in Southern Nevada.

The following offices will be open for all retail services on Sunday, Dec. 17 from   10 a.m. – 3 p.m:

  • Summerlin Station  --  1611 Spring Gate Lane
  • Spring Valley Station – 3375 S. Rainbow Blvd.
  • Silverado Station – 455 E. Pebble Rd.
  • Meadow Mesa Station --  4904 Camino Al Norte, N. Las Vegas
  • Valle Verde Station  -- 2722 N Green Valley Pkwy, Henderson

And the following offices have a 24-Hour Automated Postal Centers allowing customers to bypass lines:

  • Silverado Station- 455 E Pebble Rd 89123
  • Henderson Main- 404 S Boulder Hwy 89015
  • James C Brown Station- 1001 E Sunset 89199
  • Winterwood Station- 5070 Vegas Valley 89142
  • Crossroads Station- 6210 N Jones, 89130
  • Redrock Station- 2449 N Tenaya 89128

Additionally, USPS.com allows people to print labels, print postage, and call for their carrier to pick up their package from their home or office without ever going to a Post Office.

Between now and Christmas, many neighborhoods will also see mail carriers delivering packages on Sunday.

Las Vegas Mail Processing expects to handle nearly 8 million parcels this holiday season

Our busiest day in LV will likely be Dec. 21 and we expect nearly 500,000 parcels on that single day
The Postal Service recommends customers in the U.S. observe the following mailing and shipping deadlines to ensure that deliveries are made in time for Christmas:

  • Dec. 19 -  First- Class Cards and Letters
  • Dec 20  – Priority Mail
  • Dec 22  – Express Mail
