RUTH, NV — Building safety issues have forced the Postal Service out of the leased facility in Ruth, NV, effective August 30. Until repairs are made, the following operations will be impacted:
- Post Office Box Mail
All mail for the approximately 172 Post Office box customers will be sorted and made available at a mobile retail van that will be parked outside the facility. Please bring identification. The hours of the van will be from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., M-F.
- Retail Services
Full retail services will be offered at the mobile retail van. The hours of the van will be from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., M-F.
This is a temporary shift of services and not a permanent solution.
“The safety of our employees and customers is paramount,” said Ely Postmaster Natalie Martinez. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers and are working to quickly find a solution.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
