Mailboxes Sealed For New Years Eve Celebration

NEW YORK, N.Y. — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal blue mail collection boxes at select Manhattan locations for the New Years Eve celebration in and around Times Square. The following collection boxes will be sealed with the final pickup of mail on Thursday, December 30, 2010 and re-opened by the early morning collectors on Monday January 3, 2011.

In addition at the request of the NYPD several boxes will be removed from service until after the New Year.
