USPS Temporarily Suspends Collection Box Service During President’s Visit to Manhattan

NEW YORK, NY — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal blue mail collection boxes at select Manhattan locations during a visit from President Barack Obama.  On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, President Obama will visit various sites around New York City.

The boxes will be sealed with the final collection scheduled for Monday Sept 17, 2012 and reopened on Wednesday Sept 19, 2012 on its first scheduled collection.
