Long Beach Post Office Re-Opening on December 3

LONG ISLAND, NY — On Monday, December 3, the Long Beach post office will re-open for business.

The Long Beach post office is located at 101 East Park Avenue and the hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm and Saturday, 9:00am – 3:00pm.

There will be limited retail functions due to phone and internet interruption.

Boxholder services will be available. 

Delivery service will continue to where there is safe passage for carriers to deliver.  For those Long Beach addresses where mail cannot be delivered, mail can be picked up at the Long Beach post office retail window during business hours, 9am- 5:30pm.

The U.S. Postal Service wants to remind customers who have evacuated or relocated due to the storm to submit a change of address, place mail on hold or request that mail be temporarily forwarded to their new location. They can do so by visiting www.usps.com and complete the online request or visit any post office to fill out the Permanent or Temporary Change of Address card.

The temporary phone numbers for contacting the Long Beach Post Office starting Monday will be 631-741-4111, 631-757-1283.

Customers with questions or concerns about their mail should call 1-800-ASK USPS (1-800-275-8777).

USPS employees are reminded to call the USPS National Emergency Hotline for schedule updates by calling 1-888-363-7462.
