Holiday Retail Hours and Collections Adjusted

Greater Hudson Valley, NY — Post Offices throughout the Greater Hudson Valley will be open Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24, and New Year’s Eve, Monday, December 31. Many Post Offices will adjust their retail lobby hours and close at noon on these dates. Twenty Post Offices will be open till 6:00 p.m. or later on December 24 and December 31. Revised hours will be posted at each Post Office. Regular mail delivery will be unaffected by the change. Commercial mailers are asked to check with their Bulk Mail Entry Units for specific information regarding holiday hours of operation.

On December 24 and December 31 the following 20 Post Offices throughout the Greater Hudson Valley will offer full retail services till 6:00 p.m. or later:

Carmel, New York (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Fishkill, New York (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Kingston, New York (8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Mamaroneck, New York (8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Martine Station Post Office in White Plains, New York (8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Middletown, New York (8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Monroe, New York (8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Nyack, New York (8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Ossining, New York (9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Palisades Center Postal Store, West Nyack NY (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Port Chester, New York (8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Poughkeepsie, New York (8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) (also has 24/7 kiosk)
Purchase, New York (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Scarsdale, New York (8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) (also has 24/7 kiosk)
Suffern, New York (8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Tarrytown, New York (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Wykagyl, New York (8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Main Post Office Yonkers, New York (9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) (also has 24/7 kiosk)
Bronxville, New York (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Greystone Station Post Office in Yonkers, New York (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

Self-service postal kiosks with 24/7 access can also be used to ship packages, letters and purchase stamps in the lobbies of the following fifteen Post Offices in the Greater Hudson Valley: Hartsdale Post Office at 441 Central Avenue, Hopewell Junction Post Office at 815 Route 82, Larchmont Post Office at 1 Chatsworth Avenue, Monsey Post Office at 15 Melnick Drive, Mount Kisco Post Office at 3 Morgan Drive, Nanuet Post Office at 10 West Prospect Street, New City Post Office at 245 North Main Street, Poughkeepsie Post Office at 25 South Road, Rye Post Office at 41 Purdy Avenue, Scarsdale Post Office at 29 Chase Avenue, Sloatsburg Post Office at 39 Orange Turnpike, Wappingers Falls Post Office at 71 East Main Street, White Plains Post Office at 100 Fischer Avenue, Yonkers Post Office at 915 Yonkers Avenue, and Yorktown Heights Post Office at 2020 Maplehill Avenue.

Blue mail collection boxes having final collection times before 12:00 p.m. will not be affected on December 24 and December 31. However, collection boxes with final collection times scheduled after that may be collected early. Therefore, mail should be deposited into these mailboxes by 12:00 p.m. for early pick-up on December 24 and December 31.

Post Offices will be closed December 25 and January 1. Only Express Mail will be delivered on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. All Post Offices will resume regular mail delivery, collections, and retail services on December 26 and January 2, 2013.
