NEW YORK, NY— Love and marriage... They go together like, well, you know the rhyme.
But you may not know the U.S. Postal Service will release two new love and wedding-themed stamps in time for your spring wedding. The First Day of Issue will take place at the New Yorker Hotel between 34tha and 35th Street on 8th Avenue, in Manhattan on April 11 during the Mega Stamp Show.
These new stamps are designed to add an elegant touch to wedding invitations and response cards. They will be available in two denominations to cover both the one-ounce and the two-ounce mailing rates. Each 46-cent, ‘Dreams of Blossoms’ stamp is intended for use on envelopes that accompany response cards that are often enclosed with wedding invitations, while each 66-cent, ‘Yes, I Do’ stamp will accommodate the heavier weight of a wedding invitation with enclosures.

Dreams of Blossoms are often used to enhance the beauty of bridal bouquets, wedding invitations and other special celebrations for our friends and loved ones — it’s a perfect complement to have them on Forever stamps, too. Forever stamps continue to be the current value of 1st Class postage – forever.
“The Postal Service understands the power stamps have in helping celebrate the moments in a person’s life, especially weddings”, say postal officials. These new stamps are sure to add a touch of beauty and romance to any wedding correspondence.
The Wedding Cake stamp was also reissued this year at the current 2-ounce rate of 66-cents. It was first introduced in 2009 and accommodates the heavier weight of an invitation, as well as other mailings such as oversize cards or small gifts that require extra postage. The cake has been a wedding tradition for many generations.

Available in panes of 20, customers may purchase these stamps at usps.com/stamps, by phone at 800-STAMP24 and at Post Offices nationwide.
