BROOKLYN NY Customers who missed a package delivery can rest a little easier knowing the U.S. Postal Service has added a new and easy redelivery option that offers 24/ 7 access for package pickup. Customers can now opt to have their packages redelivered – at no charge – to an automated and secure gopost unit which is accessible anytime – 365 days a year.

To make package pickup a little more manageable for customers with on-the-go lifestyles, the post office invites anyone who may have missed their Mail Carrier and instead received a USPS form PS-3849g - Reminder Notice (Attempted Delivery Notice) to take advantage of gopost 24/7 package pickup.

Currently, this new package pickup opportunity – undergoing its trial period – is only eligible to customers with an address in the delivery zones serviced by Williamsburg (11211) or Cadman Plaza (11201) Post Office stations; where a gopost unit is available.

The most innovative feature about gopost redelivery service is that the whole process is supported by email or text message notifications. Customers who receive a “Sorry We Missed You” notice can now simply go to www.gopost.com/pickup and follow the easy steps. Just enter your ZIP Code, delivery and contact information to receive your unique code to access your packages that are waiting for you at gopost. For more information go to www.gopost.com/pickup and browse package pickup questions and answers (FAQ).

Gopost units also offer an alternative way to ship packages. To send packages from a gopost unit customers simply register online and start shipping shortly thereafter. Learn more on gopost.com.

With more than 31,000 retail locations and the most frequently visited website in the federal government, usps.com, the Postal Service has annual revenue of more than $65 billion and delivers nearly 40 percent of the world's mail. If it were a private-sector company, the U.S. Postal Service would rank 42nd in the 2012 Fortune 500. The Postal Service has been named the Most Trusted Government Agency for seven years and the fourth Most Trusted Business in the nation by the Ponemon Institute.
