WHITE PLAINS, NY— Westchester District postal officials are announcing only Priority Mail Express will be delivered and most Post Offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, for the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday.  The Palisades Center Postal Store in West Nyack is the exception and will be open on Monday, January 19, from 11 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.  Normal mail delivery, postal retail operations, and mail collections will resume on Tuesday, January 20.

Westchester postal officials recommend the Postal Service’s www.usps.com website or the 24/7 Self Service Kiosks at select Post Offices in the Greater Hudson Valley for access to services any time of night or day, including holidays like Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Fourteen Self Service Kiosks with 24/7 access are located in the following Post Office lobbies in the Greater Hudson Valley: Larchmont at 1 Chatsworth Avenue, Scarsdale at 29 Chase Road, White Plains Main at 100 Fisher Avenue, Mount Kisco at 3 Morgan Drive, New City at 245 N Main Street, Hopewell Junction at 815 Route 82, East Station at 915 Yonkers Avenue in Yonkers, Hartsdale at 441 Central Park Avenue, Rye at 41 Purdy Avenue, Monsey at 15 Melnick Drive, Nanuet at 10 W Prospect Street, South Road Station at 2572 South Road in Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Falls at 71 E Main Street, and Yorktown Heights at 2020 Maple Hill Street.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
