New York — There will be a whole lot of shaking going on as the Postal Service countdowns to Christmas — 100 days to go on Wednesday! — at the James A. Farley Post Office, 421 8th Avenue, on September 16 from 10 am to 2 pm.

Presley fans will enjoy holiday décor with postal products showcasing the Postal Service’s Elvis Presley Forever Stamp, including a limited quantity of Postal Service-exclusive CDs that debuted at number 11 on Billboard with 18 Presley hits and a new performance of “If I Can Dream” from the upcoming October album of the same name.

Collectors will also have access to a postal special cancellation, featuring Elvis Presley’s signature on a souvenir postmark, available from 10 am to 2 pm in the lobby of the Farley Post Office on 8th Avenue. And the lunch crowd can get a jump on the holiday shopping or just pick up the Elvis Forever Stamp for use in the 100 days before Christmas or well into the New Year.

As a Forever stamp, the 2015 Elvis Presley stamp will always be equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one-ounce price.

Elvis Presley stamp history: More than 1.1 million ballots were cast to select the image of the 1993 Elvis Presley stamp. Ballots in local post offices and in People Magazine offered two images of Presley. A younger image of Presley received 851,000 votes, while an older version earned 277,000 votes. There were 500 million 29-cent stamps issued in 1993, with estimates that as many as one in five of those stamps were retained as keepsakes by fans and collectors alike.
