NEW YORK CITY, NY – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will suspend service of select mail collection boxes in Manhattan during the annual NYC Marathon. The race will travel from the Verrazano Narrows Bridge finishing at Central Park.
The collection boxes will be sealed – with some temporarily removed – after the last pickup on Saturday, October 31, 2015 and back in service starting Monday, November 2, 2015, most in time for the first scheduled collection.
