West Nyack, NY— Only Priority Mail Express will be delivered and most Post Offices will be closed across the country on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. The U.S. Postal Service’s Palisades Postal Store at 3302 Palisade Center Drive in West Nyack will be the only Post Office in the area offering special Veterans Day retail hours on Friday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Passport application acceptance services are also available on Veterans Day at the Postal Store 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome with no appointment necessary. Normal mail delivery, collections, and postal retail operations will resume at all Post Offices on Saturday, Nov. 12.
The Palisades Postal Store is one of thousands of Post Offices around the country that accept passport applications on behalf of the United States Department of State. Post Office locations that accept passport applications offer the products and services customers need for a first-time passport or renewal passport application. At many locations like the Palisades Postal Store, passport photos can be taken on-site for an additional fee.
