New York, NY — If you get a notice of attempted delivery this holiday season, you can schedule a redelivery or take advantage of package pick-up hours on Sundays at select Post Offices.
In addition to the usual Monday to Saturday hours, customers can pick-up articles at many Post Offices in Brooklyn and Queens on December 11, and 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m—with the exception of Long Island City Main Office, which is open from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Sundays.

The Postal Service is projecting about 750 million packages will be delivered this holiday season, a 12-percent increase in volume compared to last year.
