Veterans Day is largely intended to thank veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to United States national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served - not only those who died - have sacrificed and done their duty. The Postal Service takes great pride in celebrating Veterans Day; as we are the largest civilian employer of Veterans in the USA. The Postal Service’s green roof will provide an exceptional backdrop for the ceremony. At 109,000 square feet — nearly 2.5 acres – the Morgan P&DC green roof is the second largest in New York City and one of the largest in the country. On November 7th, the space will double as the perfect backdrop to honor the 774 employees who are Veterans in the New York Postal District. |
