
NEW YORK, NY – On Sunday, June 11, NYC postal customers can take advantage of special one-time passport hours from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the FDR and Fordham Post Offices, and from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the James A. Farley Post Office.
Every New York minute counts – so for one day only – these Bronx and Manhattan Post Offices will be giving local customers almost 1,000 extra minutes just for passports during this countdown to summer Sunday special event.
Passports now take around 6 to 8 weeks to process, so whether it is for summer getaways, back-to-school uses, or updating your expired travel document, Sunday, June 11, is your day!

- Bring proof of US citizenship (provide one of the following)
- Previous fully valid U.S. Passport
- Certified U.S. birth certificate
- Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certification of Birth
- Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship
- Proof of identity (Current, valid driver’s license – Government ID – Military ID)
- Young travelers
- Children under age 16, both parents are required to be present to issue a passport to a child.
- Photos
- Passport clerks will be available to take the photographs (for a fee).
