
NEW YORK, NY – New York City postal customers can take advantage of special Sunday passport-only hours in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx on Sunday, July 16 and July 23.
Every New York minute counts so Post Offices will be giving customers 1,380 extra minutes just for passports during these special Sunday events.
Passports now take around 6 to 8 weeks to process, so whether it is for summer getaways, back-to-school uses, or updating your expired travel document, these Sundays are your days!
The following offices will be open:
| East New York Post Office 2645 Atlantic Ave Brooklyn, NY 11207 July, 16 – 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM |
Cornell Post Office 1950 Lafayette Ave Bronx, NY 10473 July, 16 – 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM |
| Wyckoff Heights Post Office 88 Wyckoff Ave Brooklyn, NY 11237 July, 16 – 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM |
James A. Farley Post Office 421 8th Ave. New York, NY 10001 July, 16 – 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM |
| Bushwick Post Office 1369 Broadway Brooklyn, NY 11221 July, 23 – 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM |

- Bring proof of US citizenship (provide one of the following)
- Previous fully valid U.S. Passport
- Certified U.S. birth certificate
- Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certification of Birth
- Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship
- Proof of identity (Current, valid driver’s license – Government ID – Military ID)
- Young travelers
- Children under age 16, both parents are required to be present to issue a passport to a child.
- Photos
- Passport clerks will be available to take the photographs (for a fee).
