USPS Makes Way for the 2017 Village Halloween Parade

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK, NY — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Monday, October 30, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible after the final scheduled collection of mail on the evening of Monday, October 30.

Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on the morning of Wednesday, November 1.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both Sides of Sullivan Street – between Spring Street and Broome Street
  • Both Sides of Spring Street – between 6th Avenue and Varick Street
  • Both Sides of Little Broome Street – between 6th Avenue and Varick Street
  • Both Sides of Dominick Street – between 6th Avenue and Varick Street
  • Both Sides of Christopher Street – between 6th Avenue and West Street
  • Both Sides of 6th Avenue – between Beach Street and 21St Street
  • Both Sides of 5th Avenue – between 13th Street and 21st Street
  • Both Sides of 7th Avenue – between 13th Street and 21st Street
  • Both Sides of 10th Street – between Greenwich Avenue and 6th Avenue
  • Both Sides of 14th Street – between 5th Avenue and 9th Avenue
  • Both Sides of 16th Street – between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue
  • Both Sides of 17th Street – between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue
  • Both Sides of 18th Street – between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue
