
NEW YORK, NY — New York City postal customers can take advantage of special Sunday passport-only hours in Jamaica, NY from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 28.
Passports now take around 6 to 8 weeks to process, so whether it is for winter getaways, spring breaks, or simply updating your expired travel document, this Sunday is your day!
These Queens Post Offices will be giving customers special attention to process passports during these special Sunday events:

Bring proof of US citizenship (provide one of the following)
- Previous fully valid U.S. Passport
- Certified U.S. birth certificate
- Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certification of Birth
- Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship
- Proof of identity (Current, valid driver’s license – Government ID – Military ID)
Young travelers
- Children under age 16, both parents are required to be present to issue a passport to a child.
Photos
- Passport clerks will be available to take the photographs (for a fee).
