
NEW YORK, NY – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Friday, May 18, in New York City.
The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible after the final scheduled collection of mail on the evening of Friday, May 18.
Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on the morning of Monday, May 21.
US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:
- Both sides of 53rd Street – between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue
- Both sides of 52nd Street – between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue
- Both Sides of 49th Street – between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue
- Both sides of Madison Avenue – between 54th Street and 42nd Street
- Both sides of Park Avenue – between 53rd Street and 52nd Street
- Both sides of 47th Street – between Madison Avenue and 1St Avenue
- Both sides of 46th Street – between 2nd Avenue and 1st Avenue
- Both sides of 45th Street – between 3rd Avenue and 1st Avenue
- Both sides of 2nd Avenue – between 51St Street and 45th Street
