
NEW YORK, NY – In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, August 11, in New York City.
The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible after the final scheduled collection of mail on the evening of Saturday, August 11.
Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on the morning of Monday, August 13.
US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:
- Both Sides of 36th Street – between 5th Avenue and Broadway
- Both Sides of 37th Street – between 5th Avenue and Broadway
- Both Sides of 38th Street – between 5th Avenue and Broadway
- Both Sides of 6th Avenue – between 36th Street and 59th Street
