
NEW YORK, NY — In interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Friday, September 21, in New York City.
The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible after the final scheduled collection of mail on the evening of Friday, September 21.
Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on the morning of Monday, October 1.

- Both Sides of Lexington Avenue – between 37th Street and 40th Street
- Both Sides of 55th Street – between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue
- Both Sides of 5th Avenue – between 50th Street and 59th Street
- Both Sides of 50th Street – between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue
- Both Sides of 51St Street – between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue
- Both Sides of Madison Avenue – between 49th Street and 52nd Street
- Both Sides of South Street – between Old Slip and Staten Island Ferry Terminal (Including Service Road)
- Both Sides of Broad Street – between South Street and Water Street
- Both Sides of Old Slip – between South Street and Water Street
- Both Sides of 1st Avenue – between 33rd Street and 58th Street
- Both Sides of 2nd Avenue – between 38th Street and 54th Street
- Both Sides of Madison Avenue – between 46th Street and 60th Street

- Both Sides of 42nd Street – between East River and Park Avenue
- Both Sides of Tudor City Overpass above 42nd Street
- Both Sides of FDR Drive Service Road – between 34th Street and 42nd Street

- Both Sides of 44th Street – between 1st Avenue and Lexington Avenue
- Both Sides of 49th Street – between Madison Avenue and 1St Avenue
