USPS Makes Way for the 2018 Veterans Day Parade

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK, NY — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, November 10, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible after the final scheduled collection of mail on the evening of Saturday, November 10.  

Impacted collection boxes will be reopened on the morning of Tuesday, November 13.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • Both Sides of 5th Avenue – between 22nd Street and 47th Street
  • Both Sides of Broadway - between 22nd Street and 28th Street
  • Both Sides of Madison Avenue – between 23rd Street and 26th Street
  • Both Sides of 23rd Street – between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • Both Sides of 24th Street – between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • Both Sides of 25th Street – between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • Both Sides of 26th Street – between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • Both Sides of 27th Street – between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • Both Sides of 43rd Street – between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • Both Sides of 45th Street – between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
  • Both Sides of 46th Street – between 7th Avenue and Park Avenue
  • Both Sides of 48th Street – between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue
