Painesville — On April 7, 2012, Daniel (Marty) Munford becomes the 38th Postmaster of Painesville. Mumford will be responsible for overseeing mail collection, delivery services, and Postal retail operations within the 44077 ZIP Code which includes Painesville, Painesville Township, and Fairport Harbor. The 72 employees of the Painesville Post Office service the 33,493 residents of Painesville, delivering over 400,000 pieces of mail a day.
Munford began his career in 1993 at the Chagrin Falls Post Office, first as a distribution clerk and then as a city carrier. He has held the position of Delivery and Customer Services Supervisor for the Mentor, Willowick, and Willoughby Post Office as well as Acting Postmaster of the Willoughby Post Office. Most recently he has served as the Acting Postmaster of Painesville.
Munford graduated from Timken Senior High in Canton, Ohio, and attended Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. He holds a USPS Certificate of Achievement in Postmaster Training.
Munford and his wife Andrea reside with their four children in Cleveland Heights.
