31st Medina Postmaster Named

MEDINA — On April 7, 2012, Dawn M. Nekich becomes the 31st Postmaster of Medina. Nekich will be responsible for overseeing mail collection, delivery services, and Postal retail operations within the 44256 ZIP Code. The 98 employees of the Medina Post Office service the 54,715 residents of Medina, delivering to over 27,000 residential and business addresses every day.

Nekich began her career in 1988 as a letter carrier in Lakewood. From there she accepted positions of increasing responsibility including Customer Services Supervisor for the Brookpark, Westlake and Puritas Branch Post Offices. In 2001 she was promoted to Manager of Customer Services for the Maple Heights Branch Post Office. Since 2004 Nekich has served as the Postmaster of Barberton.

Nekich resides in Brunswick with her husband and three sons. She brings considerable experience to the position and looks forward to serving the citizenry of Medina.
