Background:

A public ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at the Tallmadge Middle School, 484 East Avenue, Tallmadge, Ohio to dedicate the Tallmadge Post Office building as the “Lance Corporal Daniel Nathan Deyarmin Jr. Post Office building.”

On July 25, 2014, legislation to designate the United States Postal Service (USPS) facility located at 162 Northeast Avenue in Tallmadge, Ohio, as the "Lance Corporal Daniel Nathan Deyarmin, Jr., Post Office Building" was signed into law by the President. Congressman Tim Ryan introduced this legislation in the House of Representatives.

LCpl. Daniel Nathan Deyarmin Jr., 22, died Aug. 1, 2005, in Haditha, Iraq. Born in Akron, he lived all his life in Tallmadge, and was a 2002 graduate of Tallmadge High School. He joined the Marines in 2003 and served with Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division.
