Tulsa, OK — Next week, the U. S. Postal Service will be sponsoring a Postal Service Job Fair at the Downtown Post Office, 333 West 4th St, Tulsa. The Job Fair will be held on Tuesday, September 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. During the career fair additional information will be available to attendees that will provide specific details about the positions. Computers will be made available for potential applicants to submit their applications on-line.
The Tulsa Post Office and surrounding areas are now accepting applications for Rural Carrier Associates (RCAs), City Carrier Assistants (CCAs), Postal Support Employees (PSEs), and Casual Mail Handlers. Scheduled workdays for these positions will vary depending on the position and locations. Salaries range from $11.00 to $16.65 an hour. These positions are non-career, with an opportunity to become a career employee.
Applicants for driving positions must have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of continuous documented driving history/experience. To meet the U. S. Postal Service’s requirement to be drug free, qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment screening and drug screening. In addition, applicants must also be a U. S. Citizen or have permanent resident alien status.
For people unable to attend the job fairs, Postal Service positions are being posted online at www.usps.com/employment under the “search jobs and apply online section.” Local jobs and other positions across the state are being posted weekly; anyone wishing to apply for a specific job must do so within the job posting period. The Postal Service encourages applicants to check the web page consistently to keep up with the changes in various position openings.
