Tulsa Post Office To Host Job Fair

Tulsa, OK—Next week, the U. S. Postal Service will be sponsoring a Postal Service Job Fair at the Tulsa Processing and Distribution Center, 2132 S 91st E Ave., Tulsa 74141.  The Job Fair will be held on Wednesday, May 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  During the job fair, additional information will be available that will provide specific details about the positions to attendees.  Computers will be made available for potential applicants to submit their applications on-line until 5:00 pm.

The Tulsa Post Office and surrounding areas are now accepting applications for Rural Carrier Associates (RCAs), City Carrier Assistants (CCAs), and Assistant Rural Carriers (ARCs).  Scheduled workdays for these positions will vary depending on the position and locations.  Salaries range from $16.06 to $17.40 an hour.  The RCA and CCA positions have an opportunity to a pathway of career employment.

Applicants for driving positions must have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of continuous documented driving history/experience.  To meet the U. S. Postal Service’s requirement to be drug free, qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment screening and drug screening.  In addition, applicants must also be a U. S. Citizen or have permanent residence alien status.

For people unable to attend the job fair, Postal Service positions are being posted online at www.usps.com/employment under the “search jobs and apply online section.”  Local jobs and other positions across the state are being posted weekly; anyone wishing to apply for a specific job must do so within the job posting period.  The Postal Service encourages applicants to check the web page consistently to keep up with the changes in various position openings.
