Oklahoma City, OK — The U. S. Postal Service will be sponsoring a Job Fair at the Oklahoma City Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC), 4025 W. Reno Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73125.  The job fair will be held on Tuesday, August 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  During the job fair additional information will be available which will provide specific details about the positions to attendees.  Computers will be available for potential applicants to submit their applications on-line for a limited timeframe on this date.

The Oklahoma City Post Office and surrounding areas are now accepting applications for Postal Support Employee (PSEs) Mail Processing Clerks, Holiday Clerk Assistants, Casual Mail Handlers (CEP), and Assistant Rural Carriers (ARCs). Scheduled workdays/hours for these positions will vary depending on the position and locations.  Salaries range from $12.00 to $17.40 an hour.

Applicants for driving positions must have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and at least two years of continuous documented driving history/experience.  To meet the U. S. Postal Service’s requirement to be drug free, qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment screening and drug screening.  In addition, applicants must also be a U. S. Citizen or have permanent residence alien status.

For people unable to attend the job fair, Postal Service positions are being posted online at www.usps.com/employment under the “search jobs and apply online section.”  Local jobs and other positions across the state are being posted weekly; anyone wishing to apply for a specific job must do so within the job posting period.  The Postal Service encourages applicants to check the web page consistently to keep up with the changes in various position openings.

For more information about the job fair, please contact Robert Kerr at (405) 815-2752 or Chris Long at (405) 815-2907.
