LEONARD, OK — Effective Friday, April 6, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., services at the Leonard Post Office, located at 15801 E 167th St S, Leonard, OK 74043, will be temporarily suspended. The Postal Service apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
Customers served by the Leonard P.O. will be able to obtain retail and P.O. Box services at the nearby Bixby Post Office, located at 16 S A Ave, Bixby, OK 74008, beginning Monday, April 9 at 8:00 a.m. Starting that day, and continuing until further notice, mail for Leonard Post Office Box customers with ZIP Code 74043 will be delivered to secure boxes located in front of the Bixby Post Office.
From now until April 6, Leonard P.O. Box customers may obtain a key for their temporary box at the Leonard Post Office retail window during regular business hours, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. However, customers are advised that they will be required to turn in their current P.O. Box key, in order to receive a new key for the boxes located at Bixby. After April 6, keys will be available at the Bixby Post Office retail window, during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Bixby office is closed on weekends, but P.O. Box customers with the 74043 ZIP Code can access their temporary boxes at any time.
Customers receiving keys to a temporary P.O. Box must bring their current P.O. Box key, along with a valid government-issued photo ID. No other action is required. The Postal Service will continue to process their mail as addressed to their current P.O. Box number and ZIP Code.
