Santa is coming to town

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — The Postal Service’s revered 106-year old Operation Santa program is being offered in Oklahoma City, OK. Customers can go to the Oklahoma Processing and Distribution Center, located at 4025 W Reno Avenue Oklahoma City, OK 73125, browse through letters written to Santa, and adopt one or two and help make the holidays happier for others.

“The Postal Service is extremely proud of this program. More than 100 years ago, employees from coast to coast began responding to the letters to Santa that were received in the U.S. Mail,” said Acting Oklahoma City Postmaster Mike Allison. “That employee-led grassroots program evolved into an annual tradition in communities around the country. Our goal is to help as many people as we can experience the magic of the holidays.”

This year, customers can adopt letters by individual appointment through the contact listed above, weekdays from 8 am to 2 pm, until December 19th.

Customers can go to usps.com/holidaynews for additional information on this program, as well as information on holiday stamps, shipping deadlines, tips to avoid shipping glitches, and more.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
