To make shipping holiday gifts and cards more convenient for area postal customers, the Medford Main Post Office will offer special holiday retail hours for the next two Saturdays, according to U.S. Postal Service officials.
Medford’s Main Post Office at 325 Riverside Ave. will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on two Saturdays, Dec. 9 and 16.
“We’re offering these extra Saturday hours to make holiday shipping easier for our customers,” said Medford Postmaster Curtis Weaver. “We especially encourage customers to take advantage of these special hours to get their gifts in the mail these next two weekends in order to avoid the extra traffic we expect to start seeing at the Post Office on Monday, Dec. 18.”
Holiday shipping tips and all-important suggested mailing dates for domestic and international addresses are available for customers at www.usps.com/holiday.
The U.S. Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
