GREENSBURG, PA — Post Offices can be very busy during the holiday season. One way the Postal Service is helping holiday mailers move in and move out faster is through the fully-automated, touch-screen Self Service Kiosk available in select Western PA District Post Offices.

WHAT:    Media has opportunity to shoot B-Roll of Self-Service Kiosk in lobby of the Greensburg Post Office while learning Holiday Mailing Tips and Last minute mailing deadlines.

WHO:      Western PA District Postal Spokesperson Tad Kelley will be available for interviews and to share information on last minute mailing dates and packaging tips.

WHEN:   Wednesday, December 17, 2014, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Postal services are available at 2,845 locations nationwide through Self Service Kiosks.  Most are available 24 hours each day, including holidays.

Self Service Kiosks provide quick access for postal products and services just as ATMs provide for banking customers. There is no extra fee.  

Using credit and debit cards, the kiosk enables customers to weigh and mail letters and parcels as well as purchase stamps. It also dispenses postage in any amount for Priority Express Mail, Priority Mail, First-Class and Standard Post services. The kiosk provides mailing information such as ZIP Code lookup and accepts post office box renewals. 

Kiosks have been stocked with two holiday-themed stamps for the 2014 season: Consumers can purchase sheets of 18 stamps featuring the colorful Winter Fun stamps. Or, consumers can print individual stamps on demand featuring the iconic Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, celebrating the 50th year of the popular holiday television special.
