Monroeville Post Office Letter Carriers: William Coll; Mark Dillman; Sam Fox; Bernie George; MaryAnn Goode; Larry Hoffman; Wendell Kinley*; Mark Miller and Sean Nelis have been inducted into the prestigious National Safety Council “Million Mile Club” for thirty years of accident-free driving on the job. All nine Monroeville letter carriers have driven 30 years without a preventable motor vehicle accident qualifying them for the distinguished driver award. The nine mail carriers will receive a special Million Mile Club plaque from Western Pennsylvania District Manager Jay Phelan and Acting City of Pittsburgh Postmaster Deborah Gless in a brief ceremony among their coworkers. To be qualified, for Million Mile Club status, a professional driver must have driven accident-free for either 30 years or a million miles. *Letter Carrier Wendell Kinley will also be presented with his 45-year service award. "These are outstanding postal employees in every aspect of this very demanding position,” said Acting Pittsburgh Postmaster Deborah Gless. “The Postal Service has always emphasized safe driving practices. You do not normally see nine employees, from the same Post Office, achieve this feet together. Each one is very conscientious and their leadership and accomplishments are a great example for every member of our workforce." |
