Pleasant Hills Branch Letter Carrier Gary Kriegline has been inducted into the prestigious National Safety Council “Million Mile Club” for thirty years of accident-free driving on the job. Kriegline has driven 30 or more years without a preventable motor vehicle accident qualifying him for the distinguished driver award. Kriegline will receive a special Million Mile Club plaque from Western Pennsylvania District Manager Jay Phelan and Acting Pittsburgh Postmaster Deborah Gless in a brief ceremony among his coworkers. To be qualified, for Million Mile Club status, a professional driver must have driven accident-free for either 30 years or a million miles. "This is an outstanding postal employee in every aspect considering this very demanding position,” said Gless. “The Postal Service has always emphasized safe driving practices. Mr. Kriegline is very conscientious and his leadership and accomplishment are a great example for every member of our workforce." |
