Five Aliquippa Post Office Mail Carriers to Be Awarded Membership in National Safety Council’s Prestigious

“Million Mile Club”

Special presentation to elite professional drivers for 30 years without an accident

What:

City Carriers John Hardy; Pete Pesut; and James Fike join Rural Carriers Mary Minor and Joyce Kutzavitch as Aliquippa Post Office employees who have been inducted into the prestigious National Safety Council’s “Million Mile Club” for achieving thirty or more years of accident-free driving on the job.

Hardy, Pesut, Minor, Fike and Kutzavitch will receive a special Million Mile Club plaque from Western Pennsylvania District Manager Jay Phelan and Aliquippa Postmaster Cathleen Paduana in a brief ceremony among their coworkers.

To be qualified, for Million Mile Club status, a professional driver must have driven accident-free for either 30 years or a million miles.

"These are outstanding postal employees in every aspect considering this very demanding position,” said Paduana. “The Postal Service has always emphasized safe driving practices. Each member of this group is very conscientious and their leadership and accomplishments are a great example for every member of our workforce."
